Thoughtfull Thought: NaNoWriMo

December is two days away, not only does that mean that there are only 52 days until my birthday, 33 days til the new year and 27 days until Christmas but there are only two days left of NaNoWriMo.

I haven't heard if anyone has finished their novels yet, mostly because I've been kind of out of it since sometime last week so I haven't been paying attention to any of that.
If you did complete what you started, well kudos to you.

As for me... well how many people actually thought I would do it?

Daughters of Rome

Daughters of Rome
Daughters of Rome by Kate Quinn
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

A.D. 69. Nero is dead.
The Roman Empire is up for the taking. With bloodshed spilling out of the palace and into the streets of Rome, chaos has become the status quo. The Year of Four Emperors will change everything—especially the lives of two sisters with a very personal stake in the outcome….
Elegant and ambitious, Cornelia embodies the essence of the perfect Roman wife. She lives to one day see her loyal husband as Emperor. Her sister, Marcella, is more withdrawn, content to witness history rather than make it. Even so, Marcella has her share of distinguished suitors, from a cutthroat contender for the throne to a politician’s son who swears that someday he will be Emperor.

Top Ten Books That Have Been On My Shelf For The Longest...

NaNoWriMo Update: Day 15, I spent the day yesterday watching The Hunger Games trailer. Alright that's not true... it was only an hour. I wanted to see everyone's opinion!
As for writing I definitely need THIS, it types as you speak!

Music Monday

NaNoWriMo day 14 Update: it looks like I'll be missing half of Thanksgiving

Yesterday I saw the last half of My Fair Lady, so I thought I'd share the only song I enjoyed from that half.

NaNoWriMo Day 10

I'm not sure but sometime in the last week I said "You know what? Just forget it. I don't need to write this, in a month."
Since that conversation was with myself I didn't realize that what I was planning on doing was quitting.
Let me just say now I'm NOT a quitter, I usually thrive to complete what I start and try to make sure it's the best. Of course that's usually when I'm working on something against someone else. And even then it's usually because that someone else got me mad and started that fire in me.

Mount TBR Reading Challenge

I've been hearing about so many reading challenges for next year; I would love to see how many I can join, but I know that I'm choosy about the books I'll have to read and I'll end up completing very few.
What I need is a read what you feel challenge, but then I guess that's why they're called challenges if you're going to read what you feel then that's just reading.
My main problem with challenges is that you have to read a certain number of a certain type of book. And for that to work with me I'd have to become obsessed with that genre, which does happen often for me, this year was big for historical fiction especially Cleopatra. But the thing is I don't want to devote myself to just that one topic, I vary so much I'm always surprising the people that know me pretty well.

"To Do" #3 - Write A Novel

This is a list of things to do in my life. I'm making it because I'm big on life experiences.
I've decided to share my list here because like any goal it should be written out. I can't remember if it's encouraged to share them, all those high school goal setting lectures are kind of fuzzy, I know I never actually spoke my goals aloud.
Which might be why I haven't reached them.
But these aren't life goals, those are actually important to accomplish. These are things I'd like to experience in my life, however small, although very few actually are.
I'm going to be numbering these post just to keep track; the items on my list aren't really in any specific order

NaNoWriMo Day 1

I once said I don't know why I bother planning if none of my plans ever work out as planned. Well for this I didn't even let myself think of coming up with a plan.
I'll let you guess how that turned out for me.
Actually no I'm going to tell you how it worked out, because this is the most writing I've gotten done today. I haven't even wanted to respond to certain things that I should really get to.
