Dusty Reads (10)

Dusty Reads is a weekly meme hosted by Xpresso Reads, featuring a book that has been sitting unread on a home shelf for some time.

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
The Goddess Test (Goddess Test, #1) EVERY GIRL WHO HAS TAKEN THE TEST HAS DIED.

It's always been just Kate and her mom--and her mother is dying. Her last wish? To move back to her childhood home. So Kate's going to start at a new school with no friends, no other family and the fear that her mother won't live past the fall.

Then she meets Henry. Dark. Tortured. And mesmerizing. He claims to be Hades, god of the Underworld--and if she accepts his bargain, he'll keep her mother alive while Kate tries to pass seven tests.

Kate is sure he's crazy--until she sees him bring a girl back from the dead. Now saving her mother seems crazily possible. If she suceeds, she'll become Henry's future bride and a goddess.

I know everyone is already reading the next one in the series and I haven't even touched this one... Actually that's pretty normal for me, sometimes I wait for a few to be out or the series to be completely finished.

Thanks to the YA Mythology reading challenge during the Meg-a-Reader Blog Hop I will be reading this next month.

I love mythology, I've mainly stuck with Greek but I've been wanting to expand to others. It's actually kind of a miracle that I haven't filled up my shelves with anything myth related that I can find. Well I've had my moments but it could have been worse.
