Travel writer Julia Sullivan lives life in fast-forward. She jet sets to Europe and the Caribbean with barely a moment to blink or sleep. But too many mishaps and missed deadlines have Julia on the verge of being fired. With a stern warning, and unemployment looming, she's offered one last chance to rescue her career. Julia embarks on an unlikely journey to the ‘Heart of Dixie’—Eufaula, Alabama—home to magnificent mansions, sweet tea, and the annual Pilgrimage. Julia arrives, soon charmed by the lovely city and her handsome host, but her stay is marred by a shocking discovery.
Can Julia's story save her career, Eufaula, and the annual Pilgrimage?

I'm going to have to break out the thesauruses for this one, because all the words that come to mind just don't do it justice.
(Turns out my thesauruses is useless; so let's stick with my words.)

The story in Dancing Naked in Dixie is beautiful and very sweet.

I was going to throw in adorable, but then I felt like it was going to sound like I was describing a small child or a puppy. Although this book is as fun as one. So, yes, cute and very fun also.

This is one of those books that not only reminds me why I love reading but it also serves to show me that it's been a few books since I've truly truly enjoyed reading. I kind of feel like this book found me, like I really needed to read it. I can't explain why, but I connected with Julia, even though we really don't have anything in common it was like I was there with her.
Leave it to great writing.

And the descriptions! I had moments where I wanted to be there.

I'll admit halfway in I started getting a little bored and thinking that it really wasn't the greatest thing I've read so far this year. I'd like to take that back, because while it might not have been the "greatest" it's still one of my favorites.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Other than a few lagging paragraphs; nothing.
