Seeing as how the Meg-a-Readers blog hop is (partially) in honor of Underworld a "dark reimaging" of the Persephone myth, it seems only appropriate that we have a Mythology reading challenge.
Mythology my infatuation for 2012; at least so far.
Even if you're not a Meg-a-reader, everyone is welcome to join. Especially fans of mythology retellings. Because, hey that's just what we'll be reading until June 16!
Since Underworld is a retelling of a Greek myth, that is exactly what the challenge will pertain in. Any modern day retelling, stories "reimagined," gods in the 21st century.
Challenge Levels: 1 book Mortal
2-4 books Demigod
5 and Over God(dess)
Here are some ideas to help get you started:
Abandon
(Abandon Trilogy, #1) by Meg Cabot (of course! and stick around I might just have a giveaway for it later this week. (wink wink)
Oh.My. Gods. (Oh. My. Gods, #1) by Tera Lynn Childs
Destined by Jessie Harrell
Everneath (Everneath #1) by Brodi Ashton

The Lighting Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan
2. The Sea of Monsters
3. The Titan's Curse
4. The Battle of the Labyrinth
5. The Last Olympian
Of course there are so many more and it just so happens that I am so open to suggestions.
