"Ready or Not" Time for Another Giveaway

Since for my last giveaway I gave the choice between Meg Cabot's All-American Girl or it's sequel Ready or Not, it's time to giveaway the second half.

Paige the winner from the last giveaway chose All-American Girl so this time we have Ready or Not.
Ready or Not (All-American Girl, #2)
A year ago Sam Madison saved the President of the USA from assassination. A year ago she became a teen celebrity - and started dating David, the First Son. Now, one year on, everyone thinks Sam is ready - for just about anything. Her art teacher thinks she's ready to draw naked people. The President thinks she's ready to present his Return to Family bill to the American people on live TV. And scariest of all, David seems to think he and Sam are ready to crank their relationship up to the next level. They are ready to Do It Everyone thinks Sam is ready - except Sam herself.
But will David be prepared to wait for his All American Girl?

Meg-a-Readers Quotable Quotes Part 2

Quotable Quotes is my way of sharing some of my favorite quotes from books, movies and songs.

I've decided to continue with the Meg Cabot quotes, for this week I'd like to share some quotes that make me laugh, when I read them the first time or whatever number of times I have.
These are only a small, but great, part of what makes Meg Cabot so awesome.

The "Meg Effect"

The Meg Effect, you know that after feeling a book will leave you when you finish it. Call it what you want, but in 9th grade I referred to it as the Meg Effect. Well the Meg Cabot Effect to be exact, mainly because it only ever occurred when I read her books.

Although looking back at that year everything I read was by her, except maybe 4. One was before I started reading outside of The Princess Diaries, and another was a Meg Cabot Recommendation.

But because of her books I have multiple, or at least plenty, journal entries going on and on about how her books are so great and how I couldn't stop thinking about them, and that I'll never ever find any other book to top it... until the next in the series is published that it.

Don't believe me?

Airhead 1-3 Reviews

[Hint hint some of the reviews I'm posting might hold answers to some of the challenge quotes.]

Airhead (Airhead, #1)Airhead by Meg Cabot
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I just didn't think it was realistic enough, and I don't mean the obvious parts, (view spoiler)[of course a brain transplant isn't suppose to be realistic. (hide spoiler)]
I mean everything else, the life styles of all the characters, something just didn't fit right.
Hopefully the rest of the series gets better.

Who Said It? Challenge Part 2

Instead of putting up another challenge I've decided to add on to the previous "Who Said It?" and make it one big challenge with 2 winners.

I really don't know.
If you already entered the first part you can enter this time for another chance to win.

So basically you'll have two entries.

The Princess Diaries 1-4 Reviews

Since The Princess Diaries is what pretty much encouraged me to continue faithfully writing in my journals, I'd like to share a few thoughts I wrote down after reading the first four in the series.

Except for the first these are all original thoughts I wrote in my journal at the age of 14.

Which is another perfect reason to thank Meg, if it hadn't been for The Princess Diaries I probably would have stopped writing sometime around 9th grade and I wouldn't remember being such a weird teen.

Who Said It? Mini Challenge #1

Time for a mini challenge Meg-a-Readers.
Well Meg-a-Readers participating in the read-a-thon to be exact.

But since this is me, I can't ever have a post about one topic.
The winner for the All-American Girl Giveaway is:

Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR List

Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

It's kind of funny that I'm making this list since I almost never (alright never) accomplish them.

Perfect example: last summer's TBR list. I read two, from the series of 10 that I was planning on finishing. The problem was that I collected a lot of books last year. I used to be a go to the book store a couple times a month type of girl because I didn't have anything waiting for me. But then almost two years ago exactly I realized that it was nice knowing that a book was waiting for me... and now there's a whole shelf waiting.

Meg-a-Readers Read-a-thon

We have arrived at the halfway point of the Meg-a-Readers blog hop! That's... weird.

Although the way the last few weeks went for me I'm not surprised.
It's also the end of the Mythology Challenge. How did everyone do?
I myself made it to a demigod level, I get to hobnob with Perseus and Psyche. Which are the only two I can name.

Quotable Quotes - Meg-a-Readers Special

Quotable Quotes is my way of sharing some of my favorite quotes from books, movies and songs.

Since I've been totally absent in the Meg-a-Readers department lately I've decided to dedicated this week's Quotable Quote to a few of my favorite Meg Cabot quotes from The Princess Diaries.

Summer Reading

I've actually gotten a lot of reading done lately, I'm halfway through my goal of reading 51 books this year. 21 to go!
But even with that I'm slightly blah, when it comes to reading lately, well what better way to get out of that funk or dive deeper into it (I do get antsy when it comes to timed challenges) than with a summer reading challenge!

Kate at Kate's Book Club is hosting a summer long reading challenge, that sounds like so much fun I can't help but try to join in.

I'm Back! and with a Giveaway!

I know right. With a title like that you're probably going "You were gone?" Or most likely: "GIVEAWAY!"

But yes the last two weeks have just been illusions of me, with the exception of a few post. As I shared in my "It's Monday... post; last week I almost literally slept through and this week I've been unplugged from the cyber world.
Alright that's not true I do have a laptop, but the way I write things don't work out as well.

But now the giant desk is gone, my computer is where it belongs and all is right with the world.

We have a winner for the Abandon Giveaway:

Top Ten Books I'd Like To See Made Into Movies

Top Ten Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

The way I would decide that a book should be made a movie is how vivid the details are, and how long the story sticks with me that I feel like I need to revisit the story, only thin time without actually reading and quicker.

It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday. What are you Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Book Journey where we share what we have been reading and what we plan to read this week.

Another week and yet another month. I practically slept through last week (almost literally) and wasn't focused enough to write anything. I wanted to do so much, like share my new blog I'm working on and I also have a giveaway winner to announce. Iwas hoping to make up for it this week, but on Friday I decided to move the giant desk out of my room, long story short the giant thing didn't make it very far.
