Ethan - Review

Ethan (Brightest Kind of Darkness, #0.5)Ethan (Brightest Kind of Darkness, #0.5)  by P.T. Michelle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ethan Harris never thought monsters and darkness would consume his daily thoughts, but every night the same visions repeat in his dreams. He’s careful to project a semblance of normalcy, keeping the suffocating darkness locked inside. As much as he wishes he could focus on girls, sports, and cars like other seventeen-year-olds; nothing distracts him from his own demons or shines through.

Until Nara Collins crosses his path. The blonde fascinates and intrigues him, giving him a measure of peace he’s never felt before.

When Ethan discovers there’s more to Nara than she allows others to see, that she might have a unique secret of her own, suddenly his world comes into focus.

Note: Ethan is a novella PREQUEL to Brightest Kind of Darkness. This story will give some of Ethan’s background and lead up until the day he tells Nara there’s a bomb in the school.

I love Ethan! Be it the character or the book I'll let you decide.
Although I did add him and Nara to my list of favorite romances, so there shouldn't be a question there.  And yes I meant that about his car, but now, after reading Ethan, I get the feeling I might have confused him with another character. I really need to get my guys in order.
Still love him though.

And if I hadn't fallen for him in Brightest Kind of Darkness (which I read at the beginning of last year[Jan. 2012],) this prequel definitely would have done it.
We get an entirely new side of him and get to know a part of him that we hadn't seen before. And we also learn a lot about his past and what has led him to where he is now.

I loved getting into the story from Ethan's point of view and seeing things I was already familiar with from a new angle. There are a few "so that's how that happened moments." And it was also fun being with him as he started falling for Nara and realize that she is not all that normal.
