New Ways to Follow

Up until now the only way to follow this blog was by Google Friend Connect. Emphasis on only, I recently had a giveaway and someone told me they follow through email. I never knew I had made that an option, so how they managed that one...

Anyway considering whatever is going on with Google Monday and seeing as how I'll be having a lot of giveaways this Summer, I've decided to open up more ways to follow.

Like email!
Because I know I immediately want to know what I've written the minute I've written it.
... It's a thinker or maybe not.

And I'm also on Bloglovin:

And then of course there's always Twitter, which should be considered a last choice in following since I'm always forgetting about it.

Branded - Book Tour

Twenty years ago the Commander came into power and murdered all who opposed him. In his warped mind, the seven deadliest sins were the downfall of our society. He created the Hole where sinners are branded according to their sins and might survive a few years. At best.
Now LUST wraps around my neck like blue fingers strangling me.   I’ve been accused of a crime I didn’t commit and now the Hole is my new home.
Darkness. Death. Violence. Pain.
Now, every day is a fight for survival. But I won’t die. I won’t let them win.
The Hole can’t keep me. The Hole can’t break me.
I am more than my brand. I’m a fighter.
My name is Lexi Hamilton, and this is my story.

Top Ten Books I've Read So Far In 2013

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.

Wow I have no idea what to say about this list, I'm a little unprepared to pick my favorites of the year.
Especially since for some reason in the last month I have confused so many books. I'll remember something happening or being said but then I'll come up with two different choice of who said or did it.
And I recently discovered that I've  been going on about how I love a character that drove a certain type of car, and now I can't find any evidence of that car even mentioned in the book!

Tune in Tuesday

You know those songs that remind you of certain moments, things or people?
Yeah it's why I can only listen to Classical or instrumental music when I'm mad. They don't stick as much.

Anyway this song reminds me of my trip to Hawaii three years ago.

Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR List

Summertime and the living... well it could be easier. I've been slowing down my reading this month so there's no saying how much I'll actually read in the next few months. But then again knowing me, sometime next month I'll probably be back to my old ways and end up finishing two to three books a week.
There are so many books I want to read this summer.
My top ten:

Or yours if you sign up!

We are now TWO WEEKS away from the start of this year's Meg-a-Readers!

A few details for the curious:

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

I must be hungry since instead of reading I almost asked what are you eating.
Once again I've disappeared for the month so since my last mid-May post:

Tune In Tuesday

I'm going to stick with what I said in my Snapshot post this Saturday, about the week I'm having, because this song just seems to fit the picture perfectly.
Although technically that picture is of a lake.

Author Signings

I'm going to try and keep this from sounding like an angry rant, but no promises.

I would say I've been to a lot of author signings this year, but then when I think about it, it's only been two what with the L.A Book Fair being one big signing.
In which I attended 4 different signings.

It just seems like more since, well I did get more than one author to sign a book.
It's so convenient when they travel in packs.

Haliey's Comments - Review

Hailey's CommentsHailey's Comments by Kristy Tate
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

From some secrets, just like from some men, there’s no escape.

No one knows that sassy but shy Emma Clements is the voice of her grandmother’s advice column, Hailey’s Comments, until handsome Ryan Everett discovers the truth. To avoid his teasing questions and his you-can’t-fool-me remarks, Emma and her ugly dog Wyeth flee to sparsely populated Lister Island in the Puget Sound, where Emma intends to devote the summer to her painting and art.

On Lister Island, Emma encounters a pistol packing priest, a pair of greedy organic food farmers, an octogenarian jail keeper and Ryan Everett. Soon, Emma is much more concerned about her heart than her art. After a series of disturbing coincidences, Emma suspects that the life of Helen Dunsmuir, Lister Island’s recently deceased grande dame, is tied to her own. As she unravels the secrets of Helen’s life—and untimely death—Emma learns that problems are rarely solved with a quip or platitude, and that it’s better to love than to comment.

Hailey’s Comments, a romantic suspense reminiscent of Mary Stewart, was a quarter-finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Contest
