The last thing eighteen-year-old Ann Leigh remembers is running from her boyfriend in a thick Nebraska cornfield. This morning she’s staring down a cool Italian sunrise, an entire continent from the life she once knew. The events of the eighteen months in between have inexplicably gone missing from her memory.

Quotable Quotes - Art

I'm so glad I got a lot of positive feedback on some of the bookmarks I've made using quotes, that this week I've decided to share another.

It's not a bookmark though, just me messing around with colors one day.

Top Ten Books I Loved But Never Wrote a Review For

There have been very few books I've read for myself that I've reviewed on here.
I don't know why.
Well other than wanting to do more than just reviews and than giving my full focus on the books given to me for that purpose.

The more I love a book the less I want to go on about why I loved it.
I'm a very odd person I know.

Tune In Tuesday - Love Songs

Tune In Tuesday Love Song Edition Part 2
These are probably the most random love songs I can share here. By which, I just mean I can't explain why I picked them other than my liking them.
Last month I did share that in June I was asked to make a playlist for a wedding, and that's about the only reason I can give for having found these in the first place.

Tune In Tuesday - The "Want" Song

Tune In Tuesday Love Song Edition Part 2
As much as I love love songs that profess a persons love and go on about how they feel about a person,  a part of me likes "want" love songs a lot more.

My definition of a "want" love song? Simply put, a song that says what we all want out of love.

Branded New Cover Reveal + Giveaway

Fifty years ago the Commander came into power and murdered all who opposed him. In his warped mind, the seven deadly sins were the downfall of society. He created the Hole where sinners are branded according to their sins and might survive a few years. At best. Now LUST wraps around my neck like blue fingers strangling me. I’ve been accused of a crime I didn’t commit and now the Hole is my new home.

 Darkness. Death. Violence. Pain.

Now every day is a fight for survival. But I won’t die. I won’t let them win.

The Hole can’t keep me. The Hole can’t break me.
I am more than my brand. I’m a fighter.
My name is Lexi Hamilton, and this is my story.

Love-a-thon Giveaway

The stars seem to have aligned with this giveaway. Valentine's Day was a few days ago, a lot of love has been shared these last two days, and this past Monday marked 10 years since I first read this book.

Yes it's an old one.

It's Meg Cabot's Princess In Love!

Letter To My Younger Blogging Self

A while ago I started another blog where I write letters to myself and other people. I have since made it private because I stopped writing as much and the last two I posted were kind of very angry.
Not the lasting image I wanted to leave.
I'll probably make it live again as soon as I start writing more letters again. It's always a New Year's resolution write more letters but, of course, it only lasts so many weeks.

As I thought about what I would want to tell myself when I stated blogging I kept thinking about something I wrote during a challenge during the first Love-A-Thon three years ago:

Love-a-thon Mash Up

Are we all ready for another day of love?
I know I'm ready for another day trying to avoid typos. Found one from the chat last night: instead of saying "at the end of the", I wrote "at the the of the." Of course I noticed this after I started drinking.

For today's first challenge we get to mix books with anything else we love. Since I make jewelry I'm always trying to make something related to what I've read.

Love-a-thon Mad Lib

One day, I was running with Rob Wilkins. Out of the blue, a coat came out of nowhere! It was so gorgeous, subtle and wide. At first, we were afraid, we were petrified, but we examined. We hopped on motorcycle to make our getaway.

Book Spine Poetry

I like what I did with my poem last year, though it might not have sounded like it at the time, where I described a person. And considering that the title of the book right next to me at the moment is a person's name I just have to try and do it again.

Nefertiti The One (The Selection, #3) Party Princess (The Princess Diaries, #7) Forever (Temptation, #3) Branded (Sinners, #1) The Lucky One

the one party princess,
forever branded: The Lucky One.
If I thought what I do now last year, I'm going to love this next year.

3rd Annual Book Bloggers Love-a-thon

I'd love to go on about how much I love this event and how it's my favorite part of being a blogger but from what I remember from my interview answers I kind of got a little gushy there so I'll just leave it like that for now.

I will say thanks to our hosts Katelyn and Alexa for what I'm sure will be two awesome days. I should also thank them for making it two days because the way I've been feeling this past week I would not have made it a full 24 hours.

Now that I say that I should put up a disclaimer that I may be misspelling words or just hitting the wrong letter as I type - you will not believe how many times I've had to hit backspace just writing this sentence. I can't explain why; that's just where my head has been lately.

Forever (Temptation #3) - Review

Forever (Temptation, #3)Forever by Karen Ann Hopkins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Published January 28th 2014 by Harlequin Teen

All I want is my happily-ever-after.

That's all I've wanted since meeting Noah Miller.

From the day we met, the world has tried to keep Noah and me from being together, but now that I'm carrying his child, no one will be able to tear us apart. Or so I hope. But Noah and I have made some mistakes along the way, and the consequences are impacting the people we love. Worse, there's a storm on the horizon, and it's sure to cause serious devastation.

If we can get through this, we'll finally be Rose and Noah; a family, forever.

But first we have to survive the road ahead. And happily-ever-after is a long way off.

Stacking the Shelves [14]

I'd like to think that my self control, or I guess you could call it "shelf control" is, well, under control.
How long has it been since I last mentioned I don't actually have a shelf and instead have stacks and boxes of books?
A few weeks ago I decided to was going to commandeer my shelves, and bring them into the already crowded room I'm currently stuck in.
But then I made the mistake of sharing my idea. Which resulted in getting "helpful" alternatives which only helped upset me.

Quotable Quotes - Love Quotes

It's that time again, the only time of year I share love quotes. If anything I get the feeling most of my quotes from the past few months have been kind of negative.
Or, you know, non-loving.

It's probably why it took me a while to find any. Which is why I won't be doing like last year and sharing both love quotes and "non-love" quotes.

Tune In Tuesday - Favorite Love Songs

Tune In Tuesday Love Song Edition Part 2

I'm sharing some of my favorite love songs today so there's probably no doubt that I've share these at some point in the almost three years I've been blogging. One as little as eight months ago.

Official Cover Reveal for Gretchen McNeil's GET EVEN

I'm so happy to be bringing you the new cover for Gretchen McNeil's next book Get Even. Me and a hundred something other bloggers. I also hear it's Gretchen's birthday today; so how awesome a way is that to celebrate?

Follows the secretive exploits of four high school juniors - Kitty, Olivia, Margot and Bree - at an exclusive Catholic prep school.
To all outward appearances, the girls barely know each other. At best, they don't move in the same social circles; at worst, they're overtly hostile.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Other than audiobooks I really haven't been finishing books as often as I once did.

Books read since my last post:

To Do #9 Make A To Do List

Have you ever seen those movies or TV shows where something happens to the main character and they end up spending the week running around trying to accomplish a list they probably wrote in high school, of things they want to do before a certain age?
I'd name one if I could think of one.

Well I want to do that. I want to come up with a list of things I want to do before I turn 30. I haven't put too much thought of what I'm putting on that list so I'll probably end up like one of those movie, running around in the final minutes before my 30th birthday trying to get them done.

The best I can plan it out is: if I turn 30 in six years I have three years to write it and three years to accomplish it.
That could totally work.
Now I just need to start thinking what to add to that list.

Books, Bags, Beads, & Boys

Here's the start of another feature I hope to keep up with.
This one started as a joke, since whenever I go to a thrift shop I always head straight to either the books or the bags. And whenever I go to a craft store I go straight to the beads.
I don't normally go straight to the boys, I do show some restaint there.

Tune In Tuesday - Across the Universe

Tune In Tuesday Love Song Edition Part 2
Because all you need is love!
Or maybe just a good love song.

I'm so glad we're doing a love song edition again, because I was only able to join in once last year. I shared songs from the movie Moulin Rogue last year and I guess it's time to share more love songs from a musical.

A Winter's Respite Wrap Up

I'd forgotten that I need to write a wrap up post for this read-a-thon. I get the feeling this might be one of those weeks where I try not to overthink things and just let myself forget everything I need to do.

It's kind of therapeutic; until it hits you that you haven't done what you needed to do.

The read-a-thon actually ended on Friday for me, on Saturday my family came over for my birthday and even though it was for dinner somehow my entire day disappeared. I was hoping to get in a few hours yesterday but just as I was sitting down to read had to go to work.
