Choices. Seventeen-year-old Mia is faced with some tough ones: Stay true to her first love—music—even if it means losing her boyfriend and leaving her family and friends behind?

Then one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it's the only one that matters.

If I Stay is a heartachingly beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make.

The Book that Proved I Can Cry

Why don't you just stick a bow through my heart?
And I do obviously mean the musical bow.

I wonder how long 'til I can listen to certain classical music and not have moments of nostalgia.

7 Months Later:
I'm not sure how long after I was able to listen to classical music and not think about it because I was thinking about it with out the music.

I should state now for the record that I haven't seen the movie. As anxious as I was to go see it; conveniently the weekend it came out also happened to be the weekend that started the chain of weekends where I had other things to do. Concerts, trips out of towns, parties, suddenly I had a short social life.
