4Bs: Angela Valentine Wristlet Giveaway

After a long, long, very long, time I'm finally bringing back Books, Bags, Beads & Boys; where I talk about one of the four.  But usually just one of the first three.
I did manage Boy once but that was probably luck.

Song(s) of the Moment [14]

This is a feature I started where I pick a song that represents the week, day or month; that fits with a moment I recently had. Or that's been on repeat.
Since very little happens to me on a weekly basis I only post every two weeks.

This week's songs have been on repeat since maybe last Monday; so it was no question what I'd be sharing.
Which does make things so much easier.

Senior Year: How Sad

Part 3: It's All One Big Mood Swing
Part 2: Why Bother?
Part 1: Senior Year 2007

This is the story of the first couple of months of my senior year in high school.
While definitely not a fascinating story, it's something that I would remember every September for years afterwards. Thankfully eight years later now it's all behind me and the only real reminder is that I am who I am today partially because of those few months.
My two main reasons for sharing this is because 1) It happened and 2) I've been wanting to share more of myself here.
This is going to be part journal entries from the time and part me now explaining everything (or at least trying to).

Saved by the Bell Vol. 1 - Book Review

Saved By the Bell (Vol. 1)Saved By the Bell by Joelle Sellner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Published July 1st 2015 by Roar Comics

The classic TV series gets an update for today’s brand new high-schoolers as the coolest kids at Bayside High start their freshman year!

All your favorite characters – Zack, Slater, Kelly, Lisa, Screech and Jessie (and Mr. Belding, of course!) – are starting freshman year at Bayside High, trading in brick phones and mullets for iPhones and Twitter accounts. Does Lisa’s fashion show get on the air, and will Screech ever leave her alone? Will Jessie get that A+? And, most importantly, who’s Kelly going to go out with – preppy Zack or new star athlete A.C. Slater? It’s alright, ‘cause we’re saved by the bell!

Song of the Moment {13}

This is a feature I've started where I pick a song that represents the week, day or month; that fits with a moment I recently had. Or that's been on repeat.
Since very little happens to me on a weekly basis I only post every two weeks.

I've been trying up to come up with a song for two hours.
That's not true I started thinking about it yesterday morning.
Although I'm pretty sure the thought came up sometime over the weekend.

I got nothing.
But the other day I was singing Once Upon a Dream, and since I was just looking at pictures from the wedding I went to at Disneyland I'll take that as a sign.

The Drosten's Curse - Book Review

Doctor Who: The Drosten's CurseDoctor Who: The Drosten's Curse by A.L. Kennedy
Published July 14th 2015 by Broadway Books

From award-winning author A.L. Kennedy, an original Doctor Who novel featuring the beloved Fourth Doctor, as played by Tom Baker.

“I shall make you the jewel at the heart of the universe.”

Something distinctly odd is going on in Arbroath. It could be to do with golfers being dragged down into the bunkers at the Fetch Brothers’ Golf Spa Hotel, never to be seen again. It might be related to the strange twin grandchildren of the equally strange Mrs Fetch--owner of the hotel and fascinated with octopuses. It could be the fact that people in the surrounding area suddenly know what others are thinking, without anyone saying a word.

Praise for the Book As soon as I started reading this book, I could not put it down. It was a really pleasant reading, fresh, funny, witty, very well written with a great peace and lovable characters. I enjoyed reading See You Soon Broadway. In fact, I finished it in two days; I could hardly put it down. With great characters to build on, this story grabbed me. This is the first book that I have read by this author, but it will not be the last. If you enjoy reading sweet romance, then definitely pick this up! add to goodreads

FrightFall Read-a-thon

This month has started off very "bleh, whatever, is it over yet?" I could barely bring myself to read anything the entire weekend. Which, of course, probably upset me even more.
I actually threw a book across the room. I wasn't enjoying it much anyway.
