My blog is turning 5!
It's no longer a sweet little baby or a cute toddler. As I tell kids turning five that's a whole hand!
Looking back on a few blogoversary posts I've realized that I really suck at remembering these dates. It's bad enough that I don't have one set date for when I officially started blogging- I don't like counting it as the day my first post went up because a lot of work lead to that moment- but I'm always thinking it's a week after all that.
As I mentioned above, it took a while for my first post to up so I've always celebrated the entire week leading up to that day. Considering that I wasn't aware this day was so soon I'm still not entirely sure I'll be doing that this year.
I kind of don't want to, which is what makes me think I should.
Not just because I want to keep giving myself to this blog but because 5 years!
As I asked myself last year: Has anyone blogged for more than 5 years?
Or even after the first year: I'll probably be saying that at the five year mark too. I do sometimes wonder if I'll make it that far. Then again I never thought this blog would make it past September.
Not only did I make it past that September but I really did make it to the five year mark!
Although, apparently, after three years I was quite hopeful for this moment: When I published my first post here three years ago today I doubt that I believed I'd be writing this today. I never would have imagined getting the opportunity to review the books I've read or talk to authors and other bloggers.
Now I can definitely see myself at 5 years or maybe even 7.
Dare we push it to seven?!
(I'll get to that answer later on this week.)
Since I'm celebrating five years a coloring book also seemed appropriate.
