5 Bookish Resolutions/Goals

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I got kind of sad reading last week's final post over at The Broke and Bookish; mainly because that'll be me in 3 months; but also because it won't be, because we had very different experiences blogging.
More on that in three months, though.

Because I won't be blogging for much longer I have been wanting to change my bookish ways; what that entails I'm not entirely sure. My best guess is it'll be a lot like the week after I graduated high school; What now? I know I have to start new things and a way of life but what exactly does that even mean?!

1) Keep better track during read-a-thons.
This is inspired by this month's Winter's Respite Read-a-thon where I continue to tell myself to come up with a new system of tracking the books I've read.

2) Give Up More Often
Last year I gave up on 6 books. (And I'm pretty close to starting that list for this year.) As I said this time last year: "It hit me last night that I should not be spending my time on books (or even people) just because I feel a sense of obligation.
...Best I can do now is just move on.
And that includes moving on from books (and anything else) I don't want to waste my time on."

3) Read More Classics
Every summer I try to read at least one classic novel, but now that I won't be reading to review as much, hopefully I can get to some I've missed.

4) Go Back To Audiobooks
Which is more of a personal resolutions since it really means go back to working more since that's when I would listen to audiobooks.
Current work status: Starving artist.

5) Stop With the Self-Help Books Until I Finally Take the Advice of One
It's been a while since I've been able to say that a self-help book changed my life in anyway.
