#WintersRespite Readathon Week 3 Update

Pages Read: 1,162
Books Finished: 4
Books Given Up on: 1... and a half

I had a dream Goodreads came up with a system for readers to keep up with reading challenges (not just the one they have on their site) and thought that would be a great way to keep track of my readathon reading.
Yeah, I'm even dreaming about it. Considering some of the dreams I've had lately that's not entirely weird.
Apparently we've past the midpoint, that's news to me since I decided that I wasn't going to use a calendar this year. That being said I think my birthday is a week from now, really do not know what the date it today. There will be a giveaway though...if I remember.
I might have to reconsider this no calendar thing, or at least go back to planning in my journal (still failing at it).

Book finished this past week:

The Only Pirate at the PartyThe Only Pirate at the Party by Lindsey Stirling
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love her! She pretty much comes off as the big sister you not only admire but kind of aspire to be like. She has such a great personality and an amazing spirit.

Books I gave up on:
Before I Let GoBefore I Let Go by Marieke Nijkamp

I hate giving up on a book this early in the year (especially since I feel like I've been doing so a lot these past couple of months) but it isn't grabbing my attention enough to continue. I wanted to know how the mystery part of it ends but the magical realism lost me.

In the FleshIn the Flesh by K.D. Grace

As of now I've only given up temporarily; I might consider going back.
And as I write that a voice in my head is wondering Why?

Answer to that is simply because I've been giving up on a lot of books lately. It's because I haven't enjoyed them, but I just feel like it's been happening too often. Is it the books or me?

My TBR list is far too long to waste on books I'm not diving into.
