30 Song Challenge: Song You Wish You Could Play on an Instrument

This, like most challenges like it, is technically suppose to be a 30 day challenge but I've decided to make it weekly because; sadly, I'll only be blogging for 5 more weeks (not counting the final blogoversary week).

The end is near!

Song 5 : Song that is Often Stuck in Your Head ...You Wish You Could Play on an Instrument

I decided to change this week's theme because while I often have songs stuck in my head there isn't one that is stuck there often enough. At least not one I could think of. I had thought of making it Song Currently Stuck in My Head (it's basically how most of my Song of the Moment works) but felt it might be too similar to #19: Last Song You Heard.

So here we are: Song I Wish I Could Play on an Instrument:

Let's just state for the record: I wish I could play any song on an instrument.

In Monday's repost from 2014, I admitted that I always wanted to learn to play the violin but- thanks to my sister's keyboard- never got the chance (well, that and I had to be a "good student" to join the school orchestra, so my inability to understand math screwed me too). I also mentioned in that post that I hated the piano lessons I had to take (thanks to the stupid keyboard) so much that I made sure that I can not play a single note.

Alright, I can probably give you a few bars of Ode de Joy or Jingle Bells.

For me it was always the violin. And it still is!
While I'm sure I can go out right now and start taking lessons, I feel like it's going to be my one regret in life. At least I'd like to make sure it's the only thing I regret.

I am instantly attracted to anything violin (though, oddly enough, I've never paid too much attention to Joshua Bell. Which is funny considering how many times he's mentioned throughout The Princess Diaries series); I say "anything" because it applies to both the music and the musician.
My cousins visited over the holidays and one mentioned being a Lindsey Stirling fan because he played the violin: instant best friend right there. Sadly we couldn't make it to the concert that was the following week. Promised him if he's in town for the next one we're so going.

But back to my attraction, I don't know if that's what it is or if it's just the song that pulls you in, or both because it's a pretty awesome song. There's this power and great imagery to it.
